On October 25, Applied Silence will perform selections from our work in progress, Finisher, at Vancouver’s The Hargrove as part of Barking Sphinx’s Lost Dog series, which showcases experimental, improvised, contemporary music, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Stephen and José will be joined by A/S alums Shanto Acharia, Paul Rigby, and Ida Nilsen, aka Great Aunt Ida, who will also supply and opening set. Space is limited. Get your tickets here.

At 10:00 PM, Scotland time, the Radiophrenia sound art marathon, which runs September 5 to 26 on the airwaves and inter webs, will play Ghost Weight, the soundtrack to our film Binary Star. Listen in.

BENT STICK BREWERY, EDMONTON
On August 30, Stephen and José will perform as a duo as part of Double Lunch’s Bentiversary, a two-day music festival in celebration of Bent Stick Brewery’s tenth birthday. We’ll be crafting new versions of songs from Finisher, our work in progress. And we’ll be playing on the brewery’s loading dock, which will be awesome. Buy tickets here.

METRO CINEMA, EDMONTON
On August 28, Applied Silence will perform an original score to Carl Theodor Dreyer’s hallucinatory gothic film Vampyr (1932) at Edmonton’s Metro Cinema. Our ensemble for this show will include Stephen and José, as well as Edmonton artists Sean Fulton and Twilla MacLeod.
